Post-Doctoral Researcher
Industrial and Digital Innovations Research Group,
Technical University of Crete, 73100 Chania, Crete, Greece
Victor received a Diploma and a PhD from the department of Production Engineering and Management and MSc from the department of Environmental Engineering of the Technical University of Crete in Greece, in 2002, 2007 and 2004. While finishing his studies he worked as a Consultant and as a Research associate at the Renewable and Sustainable Energy Systems Laboratory and as a part time Lecturer and Teaching assistant at the Hellenic Mediterranean University and the Technical University of Crete respectively. In the UK, he worked as a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Manchester for the projects SPRIng (Sustainability Assessment of Nuclear Power: An Integrated Approach) and CSEF (Centre for Sustainable Energy Use in Food Chains). During the period 2011-2015, he worked as a Lecturer of Sustainable and Renewable Energy Engineering and Senior Lecturer of Environmental Engineering at the University of Cumbria. Before leaving the UK, he worked as a Research Fellow at the University of Exeter in the projects ICE (Intelligent Community Energy), CERES (Co-processing of Coal Mine and Electronic Wastes: Novel Resources for a Sustainable Future), WEFWEB (Mapping the Water-Energy-Food Nexus at Multiple Scales and Across Sectors), EXEMPLAR (Exeter Multidisciplinary Plastics Research hub) and as a Senior Research Fellow in the project CLIP (Developing a carbon impact assessment tool for processes foods). His research interests include sustainable development, life cycle assessment, fuzzy logic, renewable energy sources, energy economics and sustainability assessment. He reviews for a number of journals such as the ‘Journal of Cleaner Production’ and ‘Sustainable Production and Consumption’.
