George Arampatzis

George Arampatzis is an Asst. Professor at the School of Production Engineering & Management in the Technical University of Crete from 2018. He has received his Diploma in Chemical Engineering in 1991 and his Ph.D. in 2000 from the National Technical University of Athens, School of Chemical Engineering. He was a Senior Researcher and Laboratory Teaching Staff in the National Technical University of Athens, School of Chemical Engineering, from 2000 to 2018. His research interests focus on the Smart ICT Technologies (Industry 4.0, Agriculture 4.0), Process, System and Service Engineering (process modelling and simulation), Energy Systems Management (energy conservation, energy harvesting),  Environmental Systems Management and Protection (natural resources management), Water Resources Management (water treatment in industries, eco-efficiency assessment of water value chains) and Decision Making (multi-criteria decision making, participatory decision making, machine learning).

  • 2000: PhD in School of Chemical Engineering. National Technical University of Athens.
    Thesis title
    “Simulation of Transport Phenomena in Solidification Processes”.

  • 1991:Diploma in Chemical Engineering. National Technical University of Athens, School of Chemical Engineering.
    Thesis Tile: “Numerical Diffusion in Atmospheric Pollution Problems”.
